Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) Program

The Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) is a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) program that provided food assistance benefits to children in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade who have temporarily lost access to free or reduced-price school meals due to changes in instruction schedules and school closures related to the COVID-19 pandemic during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years.

For P-EBT benefits that were released between May and September of 2021, parents or guardians may request a replacement card from the P-EBT Customer Service Center at 1-800-359-5802. The P-EBT Call Center cannot facilitate any other requests concerning P-EBT.

More information can be found on the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) P-EBT webpage.
