Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool (TPOT): Reliability Training Workshop

Training conducted via Zoom. Participants must attend all days of training.

Prerequisites:

• Training in EC-PBIS Modules
• Training in coaching and actively coaching a program in implementation

Note: There are three (3) workshop sessions being offered during the 2023-24 school year. Participants should only sign up for one (1) session. All sessions will be held via Zoom, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. The workshop sessions include the following:

• Oct. 19 and 20, 2023 (registration deadline Sept. 28, 2023)
• Feb. 22 and 23, 2024 (registration deadline Feb. 1, 2024)
• May 9 and 10, 2024 (registration deadline April 18, 2024)

Learning Objectives:

• Learn about the TPOT, a measure for examining the level of support provided by classroom teachers for preschool social-emotional learning;
• View and score video examples of teacher behaviors that support the social-emotional development of preschoolers and become familiar with our easy-to-use datasheet;
• Have the opportunity to meet certification standards for carrying out and scoring TPOT assessments.

• Observation and Item Discussion and Scoring Practice
• Interview Item Discussion and Scoring Practice
• Questions and Reflection

Day 2:

• Question and Observation Tips
• Prepare for Certification Video and Scoring
• Scoring Video Observation and Interview (Done independently)
• Aim to submit certification scores by 2:30 p.m. (flexible)
