Make it Fresh with Cooking Counts: Culinary Skills with Local Foods - Fairfield
The Bureau of Nutrition and Health Services will be offering six regional, in-person culinary trainings in June 2022. We will introduce you to 12 new recipes that can be incorporated into your Child Nutrition menus. This hands-on training will help you better understand how to utilize fresh ingredients in your recipes from purchasing to final plating.
Registration will be limited to no more than two employees per district and space is limited. Attendees will be eligible to apply for a sub-grant opportunity to train their nutrition staff on the preparation and promotion of the standardized recipes.
Classes will start at 8:00 am and end at 2:00 pm.
