Register for webinar on active-shooter event planning

Tuesday, July 5, 2022

School administrators are encouraged to register for a two-hour webinar focused on developing a comprehensive plan for an active shooter event.

Conducted by Region 7 of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, the Aug. 23 webinar is designed to teach what needs to be considered in creating an active shooter emergency plan. Active shooter events invariably evolve quickly. Preparing for and knowing what to do in these situations can be the difference between life and death.

Discussion will range from describing common behaviors, conditions and situations associated with active shooter events to providing information about best practices, communications protocols and resources that will assist schools in creating their own plans.

Enrollment is limited to 750, so schools are encouraged to register early.
