You know you want to: Develop a Registered Apprenticeship program

Tuesday, September 14, 2021

Thinking about developing a Registered Apprenticeship program in your school or business but don’t know where to start? Relax, there’s a playbook for you. Literally.

The Iowa High School Registered Apprenticeship Playbook 2.0 is live, and shows you how to get a program up and running.

A Registered Apprenticeship program is a win-win: Students earn money while they learn, and employers develop an early pipeline for a talented workforce. And educators? They deliver hands-on, real-world experience to their students, making their classroom content come alive.

The playbook has how-to information for students, educators and employers.

Offering Registered Apprenticeship opportunities is in keeping with Iowa meeting its Future Ready Iowa goal of having 70 percent of its workforce with education or training beyond high school by 2025.
