Participate in History Alive Program

Date:
Tuesday, November 3, 2020

To celebrate the centennial of the 19th Amendment and learn about its history and impact, Iowa educators, parents and students can take advantage of live programs and educator-led activities designed for grades 4-12 and tied to Iowa’s Social Studies and Visual Arts Standards.

The live, recorded programs are sponsored by the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs, and are offered Nov. 6, 13 and 20. The programs will share first-person interpretation of suffrage in Iowa, stories of Iowa’s Carrie Chapman Catt and the state’s lesser-known women of color who led in the march toward equal voting rights.

Registration is free but required.
