Opportunity to learn more on developing authentic projects

Date:
Monday, May 18, 2020

Interested in developing authentic projects, earning a stipend and exploring the Iowa Clearinghouse for Work-based Learning? Then this upcoming online instruction is for you.

Sponsored by the Clearinghouse for Work-based Learning and AEA Learning Online, the instruction will provide training to teachers on authentic learning, the clearinghouse, the characteristics of high-quality projects, and connecting these real-world projects to curriculum standards.

Teachers will build three high-quality project ideas, connect them to standards and add them to the clearinghouse as "take and bake" projects that can serve as inspiration for both schools and businesses.

Teachers earn a $500 stipend if they successfully complete the requirements.

Course online session dates and times are May 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and June 22 from 11 a.m. to noon. Space is limited, and participants must sign up by May 27.
