The Iowa Department of Education is hiring for the following positions.

Education Program Consultant (CACFP) – To be successful in this job, a person must be self-driven, able to organize documents and resources for multiple tasks at the same time, and possess good customer skills while maintaining program standards. This position is key to collaborative compliance for the Child and Adult Care Food Program.

ITS4 – This job requires the individual to have excellent customer service skills, be able to prioritize and schedule work appropriately, and have or develop knowledge on the software and hardware technologies in use by the Department of Education. The person must be able to work both individually and in a team environment, and be comfortable providing training to individuals and groups.

Public Service Manager 2 (Nutrition and Health Services Bureau Chief) – The successful person in this job will be able to continually identify the needs of the bureau, prioritize, and direct the work of others to accomplish the needs. Financial management skills are important to budget and monitor the multiple funding streams. Customer service skills and the ability to present to a group are important for interactions with the public, legislators, program organizations, and other state agencies.

Education Program Consultant (Challenging Behaviors) – This job requires that the individual is organizationally adept, a collaborative worker, and able to draw from a wide spectrum of knowledge base. The individual must be able to be part of teams working to develop and scale services for students with challenging behaviors within a multi-tiered system of support.
