Notice of Public Posting – AEL Unified State Plan Modifications Draft
In accordance with the ICR, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Unified and Combined State Plan Requirements, States must submit a WIOA Unified or Combined State Plan. The four-year state plan must be submitted to the Departments by March 2, 2020
To fulfill the requirement for public comment, which allow interested stakeholders to participate actively, effectively, and transparently in the development of the plan, that time period is now open until February 5, 2020. Particular input is sought from representatives of the following:
- Local Workforce Development Boards and chief elected officials
- Businesses
- Representatives of labor organizations
- Community-based organizations
- Adult education providers
- Institutions of higher education
- Other stakeholders with an interest in services provided by the the six core programs
- The general public, including individuals with disabilities
DRAFT of the Iowa Unified State Plan 2020-2024
Section VI contains specific partner plans including Title II, Adult Education and Literacy - comments related to this plan can be made through the same portal.
