What is the general rule regarding corporal punishment?
Corporal punishment is not to be used, nor is it to be directed to be used, upon a student by any employee of a school district, area education agency (AEA), or accredited nonpublic school. Iowa Code section 280.21; 281 IAC r. 103.2.
