May a student be temporarily suspended by a teacher or administrator?
Yes.
The board may confer the power to temporarily suspend a student "upon any teacher, principal, or superintendent." Iowa Code section 282.4. A temporary suspension is one of 10 days or less. Goss v. Lopez. 419 U.S. 565 (1975).
