How is the state portion of funding for the instructional support program determined?
The state portion of the funding is what is left after the local portion is subtracted from the total instructional support program. The local portion of the funding is determine by the following formula:
1- (((total assessed valuation in the state / total budget enrollment in the state) / (district assessed valuation / district budget enrollment)) * .25).
However, the total state funding is a maximum of $14,798,225. If the calculated amount of state funding exceeds $14,798,225, then the state funding will be prorated.
