What is the maximum tuition rate?
The maximum tuition rate is a district's cost per pupil as computed per Iowa Code section 257.10. This amount is used for calculating tuition except for open enrollment tuition or whole grade sharing tuition. Each district's district cost per pupil will be within 100-105% of the state's cost per pupil. When a student is enrolled for less than a full year or less than a full day, the tuition rate is prorated to the portion of the day (seat time) that the student is enrolled.
