How does mentoring apply to teachers moving from out of state?
Beginning teachers who move to Iowa from another state can be part of a mentoring program if they are in their first year of the profession and begin teaching in Iowa. They must be classified as classroom teachers serving under an initial license issued by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners under Chapter 272. (Iowa Administrative Code)
