What procedures must the district follow to sell/dispose of laptops purchased from PPEL? Where are the proceeds deposited from the sale?
The district will follow the procedures required by Iowa Code section 297.22. This section requires that proceeds from the sale of personal property be receipted into the General Fund—it does not matter that the original cost was accounted for in the PPEL fund.
