If I let my coaching authorization expire, do I have to take the 4 courses over again?
No, you only need to complete the four renewal activities referred to below:
- Coaching Classes - (Sponsored or offered by an accredited college or university, or Area Education Agency, or professional athletic association, or the Iowa High School Athletic Association or the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.)
- Rules Meetings - (Sponsored by the Iowa High School Athletic Association or the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.)
- Coaching Clinics - (Sponsored or offered by an accredited college or university, or Area Education Agency, or professional athletic association, or the Iowa High School Athletic Association or the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.)
- Coaching Workshops - (Sponsored or offered by an accredited college or university, or Area Education Agency, or professional athletic association, or the Iowa High School Athletic Association or the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. Clinics and workshops sponsored by local districts may be acceptable if the events were designed for, advertised to, and open to the public.)
In addition, you must also complete the Mandatory Child and Adult Abuse Reporter Training and send the training certificate to the BOEE along with your renewal form.
