Will there still be a nonfiscal data collection as part of the CAR separate from the electronic submission of the chart of account?
For a few years beginning with the 2005-2006 CAR, there will still be a portion of the CAR that will be collected separately to include information that would not be included in the chart of accounts. That portion will be completed after the district or AEA has electronically submitted its chart of accounts (COA) as the final step in submitting the CAR. As other data collections are available that are more appropriate to these nonfiscal reports, they will be transferred from the CAR-COA to other data collections. NOTE: This transfer of reports was completed with the 2008-2009 CAR-COA.
