Amy Williamson is leading a newly formed group at the Iowa Department of Education that will be working to develop a data system to support Response to Intervention (RtI) statewide, and I would like to invite you to be a member of this workgroup on behalf of the Department.

She anticipates that the group will begin meeting within 2-3 weeks -- as all of the schedules permit and that the group will meet as frequently as is necessary thereafter to complete the work.  The intended outcome is to put in place a data system that supports RtI in Iowa by Fall 2012, as the State Board has determined that universal screening for reading will be in place for grades K-6 by Spring 2012.

This is a tight timeline for exciting work, and I hope you will want to be a part of the team.  Please let me know which of the following dates you could attend the first meeting, as soon as possible.
