WELCOME...Thank you for your commitment to providing a safe, healthy and caring environment for all of Iowa's Children and youth.  This training event will expand your knowledge and expertise in creating supportive environments in which students thrive.

The following invited workshop strands are offered to support the work of Iowa's professional in developing a positive social culture within our schools and community.

Strand 1: Mental Health Wraparound * INVITATION ONLY

1A: Coach/Trainer Session-October 11: This is a one-day training to prepare technical assistance providers prior to the school team training on October 12th and 13th.  External and internal coaches and prospective Tier 3 Wraparound process.  Presenter: Lucille Eber

Audience:  External and internal coaches and prospective Tier 3 trainers

1B: School-based Wraparound Team Training-October 12 and 13: (PLEASE NOTE: New Cohort 3 Wrap Teams must register through Toni Merfeld) School and district teams will develop their skills in designing supports for students needing more intense services to be successful in school, home and community.  Presenters: Diane McDonald and Lucille Eber

Audience:  Registration for the October 12th and 13th sessions is for invited district and school teams only.  Invited participants will need to register for both days.

Strand 2: PBIS (October 12 and 13)

Internal and external coaches, and PBIS trainers will increase their skills in using data based decision making across tiers.  Presenter: Lori Newcomer

Audience:  Open to all internal, external coaches and PBIS Trainers

Strand 3: Safe and Supportive Schools (October 11)*INVITATION ONLY

This one day training is for AEA Learning Support Consultants and AEA Data Specialists prior to the School Leadership team trainings on October 12 and 13th.  Facilitators: Dr. Barbara Ohlund and Cyndy Erickson

Audience: AEA Teams only

Strand 4: Safe and Supportive Schools (October 12 and 13)*INVITATION ONLY

IS3 School Leadership teams will review and analyze their School Processes for analyzing and using the data with stakeholders will be presented.  Facilitators: Dr. Barbara Ohlund and Cyndy Erickson

Audience:  All schools that participated in the Safe and Supportive School's survey administration are invited to attend.
