Join the upcoming informational webinar on the Summer Food Service Program on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 2-3 PM.
The Summer Food Service Program provides nutritious meals and snacks to children in low-income areas during the summer months. There are many summer food service program serving sites across the state of Iowa during the summer months; however, the program is vastly under-utilized. Summer can be a difficult time for families with children, and that can impact the whole community. All too often, summer vacation is when children do not have enough nutritious food to eat. When school lets out in the summer, low-income children lose access to the school breakfasts, lunches, and afterschool snacks they receive during the regular school year. SFSP Flyer 2013 (121.08 kB)
