Is your school interested in becoming a HealthierUS Challenge (HUSSC) School?  Team Nutrition is partnering with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach to provide regional HealthierUS School Challenge half-day hands-on workshops in computer labs for local Foodservice Directors who are ready for the “next level” of HUSSC application. 

The new HUSSC criteria include a requirement of six cent certification. Once your school is certified you are on the right track! The HUSSC criteria require documentation for two consecutive weeks, with allowance for one of the weeks to be the one used for certification, to reduce duplication of paperwork. Directors will bring their school menus and other documentation to the workshop and practice completing the online HUSSC application.

Technical assistance will be provided to schools to help move them toward submitting successful HUSSC applications.  Mileage reimbursement will be available through partnership with Iowa Department of Public Health.
