Session will cover:
- Educational, social, and personal challenges related to transitioning adult ESL students to academic/vocational studies
- Gaps between what we cover in adult ESL instruction and the requirements of postsecondary education that impact students’ success in transitions (i.e., community college entrance/placement exams, academic language skills, “soft skills” related to studying/finding financial aid/using campus resources.
