The Iowa Department of Education is pleased to offer its annual June training for Every Child Reads: Birth - Five trainers. Dr. Stephanie M. Curenton from Rutgers University will be our presenter. The title of her presentation is: "Chatty Children Who Tell Stories": Using Classroom Conversations and Oral Narrative to Enhance Language and Literacy at Tier 1 and Tier 2.
The purpose of the presentation is to focus on promoting high-quality language and literacy instruction that enhances Tier 1 core curriculm (Every Child Reads:B-3 and Every Child Reads: 3-5) and provides guidance for more intensive small group instruction at Tier 2.
