Iowa Department of Education Director Jason Glass today announced a meeting of the Instructional Time Task Force on Monday, Oct. 1, at 1 p.m.

The meeting will take place in the ICN Room (2nd floor) of the Grimes State Office Building.
Some task force members will participate via conference call. Members of the public may attend the meeting in person or dial in at the following number: 1-866-685-1580 (Conference code: 5152817144#).

The task force was established in Senate File 2284 to study issues such as the school start date, length of the school day and school year, and after-school programming. Meetings are open to the public. More information about the task force is available online.
