Assistive Technology (AT) & AIM

Assistive Technology (AT) COMPLEMENTS Accessible Instructional Materials (AIM)

For most people, technology makes things easier.
For a person with a disability, it makes things possible.

Technology is an integral part of our lives in the 21st Century. For students with disabilities, AT can have impacts that are far reaching and have the potential to yield enormous benefits. AT allows students to hear, to see, and to access and participate in the environments they learn in. It can create independence that allows students to expand their worlds, unleashes and enhances their abilities. Both low tech and high tech applications have been successfully used to ensure students' success in the general education curriculum. Learn more about AT.
