Background
In 2009, the Iowa Department of Education received an $8.8 million Statewide Longitudinal Data System (SLDS) Grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences. The grant is for five years. A portion of these funds are being used to develop an electronic transcript and student record system for quick transfer of student data.
